A native Floridian who grew up in Pensacola, Dr. Galloway is a renowned fellowship trained sports medicine and orthopedic surgeon. No stranger to academic excellence, he attended the University of Florida and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a 4.0 GPA as an Anderson Scholar (awarded for highest distinction in academic excellence). Admitted to the prestigious, highly competitive Florida Junior Honors Program, which allowed for his early acceptance into the University of Florida’s medical school, his academic achievements continued with winning the Medical Guild academic excellence award and his nomination to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
Dr. Galloway completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Florida, working as one of the team physicians for the University of Florida football team. He then completed his fellowship in sports medicine through Kaiser Permanente and the University of California at Irvine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He continues to support his local community by sponsoring and providing medical coverage for several local sports leagues and high schools.
Dr. Galloway’s commitment to education in his chosen field is unwavering. He remains academically active, publishing orthopedic research and delivering lectures on a variety of arthroplasty and sports medicine-related topics, inspiring and motivating his fellow medical professionals. He has worked in medical leadership for BayCare and he is the acting Medical Director for the Surgery Center of Dunedin, where he works to ensure patient safety and the delivery of exceptional surgical care and patient experience.
